AKEA delivers everything from stand-alone machines to complete turnkey lines with integrated robot handling. As an official KUKA System Partner, one of seven in Denmark, we build the robots into the process from the first sketch.
Complete lines, one supplier
A turnkey line brings saw, machining station, handling, washing and packing together, designed to work as one system from day one. Lines can be delivered with Sinumerik controls and integrated order handling, so operators work with production orders rather than machine settings.
KUKA System Partner
AKEA has been an official KUKA System Partner for four consecutive years, one of seven in Denmark. We bring decades of mechanical metalworking, KUKA brings the robotics, and the two meet in automation systems built to run.
Everything under one roof
Around 40 specialists handle the whole project in Thisted: mechanical design, electrical assembly, software programming, testing and approval. You always know who is responsible for your line, and the same team services it afterwards.

AKEA Automation
From eight weeks to 24 hours
LINAK used to buy machined aluminium profiles from European suppliers on an eight week lead time. A fully automatic line for six metre profiles, built in close collaboration with AKEA Automation and BILA, brought the work home to Sønderborg and cut the lead time to 24 hours. Robots move the material between cutting, milling, measurement and assembly, and the line was one of three finalists for the DIRA Automation Prize 2025.
