Window, door and facade

Window, door and facade production runs on long aluminium profiles that have to be cut, machined and sorted to exact measure. The AKEA Machining Center cuts profiles to length at an angle, then mills, drills, labels and sorts them, with the repeatable accuracy needed for standard frames and complex custom projects alike.

Stock length in, sorted parts out

Profiles load automatically from the magazine and a CNC miter cutter cuts them to length at the angle the frame needs. Sawing, drilling, stamping and contour milling follow in one continuous process, and finished parts are sorted and collected automatically.

Every side of the profile

The feeder gripper rotates the profile a full 360°, so the 3-axis CNC machining station reaches every side without repositioning. A 12-station toolholder with high-speed tool exchange covers the operations a window or door profile calls for.

Less waste across orders

The system runs several part orders at once and uses nesting to plan cuts across them, so each stock length is used as fully as possible. Programming is parametric on a Windows interface, and drawing data transfers directly into the system.

Running after hours

The Machining Center is built for long unattended runs, including after working hours. It is designed and built in Thisted, and service and spare parts come directly from the engineers who built it.
